Independent Financial Newsletter Puts Stock Target at “Low Teens”

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. – December 23, 2009 – VirnetX Holding Corporation (NYSE Amex: VHC), a secure real-time communications and collaboration technology company, today announced that it has been selected as the Featured Stock of the Month for December, 2009, by “The KonLin Letter,” a 27 year old independent, financial newsletter. This is an unsolicited and unpaid evaluation of VirnetX, performed by KonLin Research.

“It is indeed an honor to be chosen as Featured Stock of the Month by such a well established, prestigious financial newsletter,” said Kendall Larsen, VirnetX President and CEO. “The KonLin Letter has a remarkable record for providing accurate technical and fundamental analysis. The fact that they are subscriber based and don’t get compensated by stocks they feature only adds to their credibility.”

Highlights from The KonLin Letter include:

VHC has 23 U.S. and International (Europe, Japan and Australia)
patents (with 28 more pending) in their portfolio and each patent
has a range of 40-60 claims tied to it. These patents are essential
to 4G and long-term evolution wireless security standards. One
of the patents covers VHC’s ability to build a virtual private
network (VPN) across the internet in real-time that automatically
and completely secures a communication, ensuring its privacy
and allowing access to that communication only to specifically
designated outsiders.

The VHC advantage is its ownership of the key patents that
is the foundation of the collaborative communications arena.
VHC expects to derive the majority of their revenue from license
fees and royalties associated with these patents. In addition,
with the recent award of two key patents, VHC plans to establish
and run a Secure Domain Name Registry. These dynamic patents
expand VHC’s exclusive rights to set up and run such service
to enable automated secure connections across the Internet.

Ultimate target low-teens.
