How to install and sign-in to your VirnetX One account on Linux
NOTE: although this shows root, you do not have to do this as root. But you do need sudo.
1. Download the installer and set to execute:
root@installtest:~# curl https://sw.myvirnetx.com/platform/virnetx_install -O
root@installtest:~# chmod 755 virnetx_install
2. Run the installer:
root@installtest:~# ./virnetx_install install
3. Activate your account. You will need your username (email) and your locator, which will be provided to you when your org is setup. Your admin should provide you with an initial password. You will be prompted for your password and your MFA code (if applicable):
root@installtest:~# virnetx_cmd account activate --user=some_user@mycompany.com --locator=us-mycompany

Enter the MFA (multifactor) code
MFA Code:
SDN (Secure Domain Name) = ubuntu.someuser.mycompany.scom
Response =
root@installtest:~#
If at the end you see at least one “Secure Domain Name” and the Response = (blank) then you are active.
